An Inside Look at Branding Experiences for the CLient's Perspective

From time to time, we like to take a break from talking about ourselves and instead, provide you an inside perspective from the client's side of the table. This month we take a look inside Stahl Exotic Animal Veterinary Services (SEAVS). Anibal Armendaris, LVT / Media Manager at SEAVS was kind enough to give us his thoughts on working with Branding Experiences to re-launch their website.

Anibal

Client Name: Stahl Exotic Animal Veterinary Services (SEAVS)

BrandXP Contact: Mitch Dowell
Project Type: Website Redesign, Social Media Branding
Unique Challenge: Re-brand the website to visually position SEAVS as a unique, specialized veterinary practice; a pratice that employs the best in the field, while capturing the essence of a team that is both client friendly and genuinely enjoys what they do for a living. Also re-package and structure the content to be more educational in nature to both existing and prospective exotic pet owners.

Briefly discuss the state of your previous site prior to having it re-designed.

Our previous website was to say the least, very drab. There was nothing to distinguish our veterinary clinic from any other run of the mill clinic. We are an exclusively exotic animal veterinary practice. Our website should be a representation of that uniqueness. Furthermore, it was very difficult to navigate and unable to be updated outside of basic text changes.

What was your greatest fear in choosing a web design company, and why?

Will they be able to meet our expectations without charging an unreasonable amount of money.

What was your 2nd greatest fear in choosing a web design company, and why?

Will they be able to produce what they have promised. In our particular case we wanted a complete redesign of the website. We went with a completely new concept that focused on specific topics and targeted a specific audience. We wanted our site to be vibrant, attractive and evoke a desire to navigate and investigate further. We also wanted to showcase everything our clinic is able to offer the client and the veterinary community. On our previous website a simple list of procedures and short text is all that described what SEAVS is all about. Now we have high resolution pictures in flash format, with a section/page dedicated to each specialty.

What made you ultimately decide to move forward with the re-design with Branding Experiences?

Mitch came highly recommended by our IT manager. The portfolio on the Branding Experiences website was only a glimpse of what they can do and offer. Ultimately it was Mitch. The way a person interacts with their clients tells a lot about their general character and personality. If you cannot trust the person you are working with then the outcome will not be good.

During the prototyping phase, did you feel comfortable that Branding Experiences was picking up on the vibe you were going after with your re-branding?

Absolutely. He was also very open to input and modifications. It didn't take long for us to come to an agreement of what we would go with.

Was there anything that you experienced, good and/or bad, during the site re-design process that you were not expecting?

It was clear from the beginning that Mitch was not just out for a quick payday. The service and attention you get with this company goes above and beyond. Being a veterinary clinic we are in the service industry and peoples expectation of what their dollar buys them is far greater then what anyone should have to offer. Hence when Mitch was willing to modify things and openly/constantly communicate with me, it made a world of difference in the relationship.

What has been the overall response/reaction to the re-design from your target audience?

General consensus seems to be very positive so far. There is still a significant amount of work on my end that needs to be done but as far as the general look of the website everyone seems to be very happy. It fits our clinics ambiance and vibe very well.

Additional thoughts/comments not covered by the above questions:

Our relationship with Branding Experiences will continue. The development of our new site is only the beginning of a hopefully mutually beneficial professional relationship.
