An Inside Look at Branding Experiences for the CLient's Perspective

From time to time, we like to take a break from talking about ourselves and instead, provide you an inside perspective from the client's side of the table. This month we take a look inside Crowe Entertainment Group. Fran MacLeran at Crowe Entertainment Group was kind enough to give us her thoughts on working with Branding Experiences to design CD packaging for one of their recording artists.

Client Name: Crowe Entertainment Group / Nashville
Client Contact: Fran MacLeran
BrandXP Contact: Mitch Dowell
Project Type: CD Packaging & Label Design
Unique Challenge: Develop creative CD packaging for a recording artist that captured the spirit of the artist, his music, and the seasonal flavoring of the release; Balance an old-time music industry "45 RPM" feel on the actual CD, with a modern feel and approach to the outer packaging.

Briefly discuss the state of your materials prior to working with Branding Experiences.

We had a very amateurish workup on the CD Cover and only an idea as to what we wanted on the label.

What was your greatest fear in choosing a design/branding company, and why?

We had never used a graphic designer before, and were hoping to find someone who would be able to provide creative guidance.

What was your 2nd greatest fear in choosing a design/branding company, and why?

Our second greatest fear was the cost of the project possibly getting out of hand.

What made you ultimately decide to move forward with Branding Experiences?

Of all the graphic designers that expressed initial interest in the project, Branding Experiences was the only one that responded in a timely manner. This made me believe they would do the same during project development.

During the prototyping phase, did you feel comfortable that Branding Experiences was picking up on the vibe you were going after with your re-branding?

Absolutely. Three prototypes were created for the cover and it was difficult to select one, as all were excellent.

Was there anything that you experienced, good and/or bad, during the site design process that you were not expecting?

Branding Experiences took the time to think creatively and not just provide a final result like every other CD cover out there.

What has been the overall response/reaction from your target audience?

The prototypes were reviewed by many before providing our suggestions. Everyone was impressed with the professional look of each offer.

Additional thoughts/comments not covered by the above questions:

I would, and will, highly recommend Branding Experiences to others that will be putting out CD projects.
